Passionate for wine

We combine luxury, quality and tradition while selecting exceptional vintages, and thus reflect our shared passion for wine. Maison Rémy Thomas is the result of strong professional relationships built over more than twenty years, as well as a friendship spanning over thirty years.

Rémy Balestre has been passionate about wine since childhood, and submerged himself in this enhancing world as a wine merchant.

Having started his career by selling wine to his neighbours and teachers at college, he specialised himself in a study of viticulture and oenology. After the graduation, he began working with Maison Rivière in Saint-Émilion, focusing on wholesale trading with importers around the world. Then, quite naturally, he continued selling to individuals with a merchant specializing in fine wines for the next 15 years.

His two brothers, Landry and Grégory, also share the same passion. Gregory, the owner of the prestigious Château Fleur Balestre in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, entrusts his wines to be sublimely marketed by the wine house Rémy Thomas. Furthermore, Landry, one of the largest wine exporters in Europe, offers privileged access to vintages which are often carefully preserved in secluded cellars. Together, the Balestre brothers form a true dynasty in the world of wine, combining expertise and tradition in promoting exceptional nectars. With their broad talents and know-how, they proudly contribute to the reputation of French wines on the international scene.
